The people behind this house
Visão Pura was born from the meeting of Paulo Borges and Daniela Velho and from a wish for a more genuine contact with life. Here their paths meet and open onto a path they share.
Where the two paths meet
Philosopher and professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, poet and essayist. He has followed the way of the Buddha and Portuguese thought since 1983, and is a co-founder of the Visão Pura and Santuário Dewachen projects.
Meet Paulo
Educator, meditation teacher and independent researcher. She created the Comunidade Transformação Profunda and is a co-founder of the Visão Pura and Santuário Dewachen projects.

The house
Where it happens
Many of Visão Pura's in-person gatherings and retreats take place at Santuário Dewachen, between Alenquer and Torres Vedras. A spacious, light-filled temple among vegetable gardens, trees and water, in the unhurried rhythm of a small village. The Santuário is an independent project with its own identity, and it also hosts activities by other people and organisations.
