Two paths that crossed and gave rise to Visão Pura. They now live in a small village, where Santuário Dewachen was also born and has flourished.
How Visão Pura came about
Visão Pura was born of a visceral need to live in closer contact with reality and to welcome it fully and lovingly. It also continues work developed over many years, where contemplative practice, philosophical inquiry, spiritual traditions and contemporary knowledge meet, always rooted in lived experience.
We are moved by the aspiration to carry further the knowledge and practices anchored in humanity’s spiritual traditions, in dialogue with modern science and rooted in individual experience.
Paulo Borges
Philosopher and professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, where he completed his master’s degree and doctorate. Since 1983 he has followed the way of the Buddha and cultivated Portuguese thought in what it holds most universal. Poet, essayist and translator, he is the author of Vazio e Plenitude ou o Mundo às Avessas, among other books.
Meet PauloDaniela Velho
Educator, meditation teacher and independent researcher. She founded Comunidade Transformação Profunda and is co-founder of the Visão Pura and Santuário Dewachen projects.
