Fortnightly gatherings for meditation and reflection, inspired by the vision of Agostinho da Silva and by the symbols of the Festivals of the Holy Spirit: liberation, communal sharing and renewal.

Irmânia is a movement and a community of lives and consciousnesses inspired by Agostinho da Silva's vision of the supreme vocation of the human being in the service of the cosmic good, and by his vision of the Empire of the Holy Spirit, or Fifth Empire, as the highest meaning of Portugal, of the Portuguese-speaking world and of the World.

Irmânia

We are especially inspired by Agostinho da Silva's reading of the three main moments of the popular Festivals of the Holy Spirit: the freeing of prisoners, the free communal meal (bodo), and the crowning of a child as Emperor or Empress of the Holy Spirit, or Sacred Breath.

We seek to deepen their meaning, bringing it up to date and living it out inwardly and outwardly, through meditation, reflection and action.

Fortnightly gatherings

Every two weeks, on Mondays at 21:00 (Lisbon time), we meet online for the meditative exercises practised in Irmânia gatherings and to reflect together. The current cycle began on 28 September 2026.
